Do inflatable pool covers work? ›

The inflatable domes can be a decent temporary solution and can help you extend the season. They convert an outdoor facility into an indoor one. Also, are efficient in covering large spaces.

Our pools can sit on decomposed granite, gravel, road base or cement as long the space is completely level from all sides. The preferred material is decomposed granite. If there are large rocks in the material used ensure they are not larger than 1/2" to avoid denting the bottom of the tank.

Supplement the chlorine tablets with 1-3 cups of liquid chlorine each week (dependant on heat, sunshine and usage), pour in while your pump is on and water is flowing and keep water circulating for at least 45 minutes. DO NOT USE a powedered "Pool Shock" unless it is actually only liquid chlorine.

Though our pools are only 2' deep, families with pets and children need to be more cautious in and around the pool to avoid accidents and other potential threats. These pools should be properly maintained to ensure proper sanitation measures are taking place.

While not necessary, covering the pool each night offers several benefits. For starters, it saves on energy costs and conserves water by reducing the amount of make-up. It also reduces the consumption of chemicals and keeps debris out of the pool, thus reducing the amount of time needed for cleaning.

In this case, the ground cover isn't plants, but a plastic tarp instead. Even though some online sources suggest protecting the grass with a ground cover, the tarp's real role is to protect the bottom of the pool and make walking and sitting in the pool more comfortable.

Any part of the steel tanks that are touching water will not get too hot to the touch in direct sun, though the top lip of the tanks can get hot in direct sun as water is not generally filled to the very top.

A 6' pool can seat 2-4 adults. An 8' can easily hold 5-6+ seated adults. A 10' can fit 8+ seated adults.

Do you have a completely level, solid ground to place your Cowboy Pool? Keep in mind, the pool will weigh upwards of 6,000 lbs when filled with water, so a deck or balcony may not be the best choice for a location. You will also need level ground for your 2'x3' filter pump.

Baking soda can help kill algae and make your water clear again after a heavy rain. Rainwater will lower your pool's pH, making it more acidic. Baking soda, in addition to killing algae and making your water look clear again, will help raise your pool's pH back to a safer number.

Is it OK to dissolve shock before putting in pool? ›

If you've chosen granular shock, you'll need to pre-dissolve it before adding it to the pool. Use the manufacturer's instructions on the label to measure the correct amount for your pool volume. Add this to water and gently stir the solution with a wooden stick until the granules are completely dissolved.

If you live in an area with a lot of wind and trees, you'll find that debris is a frequent issue, and a pool cover might be an excellent investment. Alternatively, evaporation rates are high in dry and hot climates, so a cover could save a considerable amount of water and chemicals.

Grab a plastic tarp, lay it out over the water, and weigh the edges down with bricks or heavy items to keep your blow-up pool clean. A sheet of corrugated plastic makes a simple pool cover for really small inflatable pools.
