Terraria just recently celebrated its 10-year anniversary, after releasing to critical acclaim back in 2011. The building-and-survival Indie darling burst on the scene during the peak of Minecraft Madness, and has managed to carve out its own special place in gaming history thanks to its impressive game worlds, in-depth mechanics, and expansive content. Although some originally saw Terraria as 2D side-scrolling title that was looking to capitalize on the simplicity and entertainment value of Minecraft's "build your own world" gameplay, players would soon find out just how different the Indie smash-hit really was.
